sessions and Workshops

TLI has created the  Education-to-Business Networking© approach, a framework for program development and delivery that focuses on establishing and expanding productive education – business – community partnerships. The ideas, tools, and methodologies in this program are modeled after the business world concepts of Strategic Account Management, a process at the organizational level that focuses on building and sustaining long-term, mutually beneficial relationships between a company and its key customers. These processes and concepts are adapted for use by education and CTE practitioners. 


As part of Education-to-Business Networking©, TLI offers a series of Education Partnership Development Sessions and related Workshops that include the following topics and course objectives:

  • Understanding the value of forming partnerships between educational institutions and businesses.
  • Developing a list of potential business partners using the specified business demographics provided in the module learning
  • Using brainstorming techniques to help develop partnership criteria for potential partner organizations.
  • Creating a business partner universe and using funnel management strategies to narrow the list of potential partners.
  • Identifying and implementing strategies to set your school apart as a desirable partner for potential partner organizations.
  • Developing an agenda for follow-up conversations and meetings with prospective partners.
  • Creating a sample SOW, KPI, and ROI items for formalizing a partnership agreement.
  • Creating a survey and related follow-up approaches to help establish partner satisfaction and reflect on the impact of these results for follow-up actions and sustainability.

Additional Tools for Success

TLI also offers additional “Tools for Success” Sessions and Workshops. These approaches are based on the following proven organizational development and business concepts:
